Kansu red deer, also called the thorold's deer, is a species of deer that is native to China. This distinct species can be found in the provinces of Gansu, Qinghai, and Ningxia. As with most animals, the Kansu red deer has several synonyms that are commonly used. Some of these synonyms include Thorold's deer, Gansu wapiti, red elk, and Chinese wapiti. These synonyms provide an alternative way to refer to the Kansu red deer, and allow people to identify these animals using different names. Despite the different synonyms, however, the Kansu red deer remains a unique and fascinating species of deer.
