Memidex Auto-Suggest

As you type in the Memidex Find box, the Auto-Suggest feature displays a drop-down menu of the next alphabetically closest available words, phrases, or symbols. This menu is a list of links you can click on to immediately jump to an entry. Auto-Suggest can save you some typing and help you find what you're looking for more quickly.

This feature uses AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript And XML) technology which allows JavaScript-enabled browsers to seamless communicate with a web server from within a web page.

Tip: Use arrow keys to navigate in the drop-down menu. If you keep pressing the down-arrow key, you can keep browsing forward alphabetically.

Memidex Auto-Suggest has been tested with recent version of popular browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Opera. However, if you experience problems using this feature or you have other feedback, please contact Memidex.

The Auto-Suggest feature sends and receives small amounts of information while you type. Normally, this occurs in fractions of a second. However, if you have a very slow Internet connection or if your bandwidth costs are very high, you may prefer to disable this feature. You can do this through Memidex preferences.
